BUILDING STRONGER AND MORE RESILIENT COMMUNITIES

MEUON recognises that children’s wellbeing is closely connected to the conditions in which their families live. Poverty, food insecurity, unemployment and limited livelihood opportunities can affect a household’s ability to provide education, nutrition and protection.

Our community development work therefore extends beyond school sponsorship to address the broader needs of vulnerable households and undeserved communities. We seek to promote community participation, strengthen household resilience and support practical initiatives that help people improve their living conditions.

Through collaboration with local leaders, community groups, development partners and other stakeholders, we aim to identify local priorities and develop sustainable responses. Our intended areas of intervention include household improvement,  community mobilisation, support for families experiencing hardship, skills development and initiatives that encourage greater self – reliance.
